If you're going to join, or just want a general idea of what this forum is about, this board should be your first stop. Inside is everything you need to get started: the rules and any plots that arise, as well as the announcements. Check back often to see new announcements, as well as rule changes.

Join here. Plain and simple. The character sheet is pinned. Do NOT make any changes to it when you post. Make sure you post in the appropriate sub-board, and as always, wait to be accepted before RPing.

If something can be claimed or signed up for, there will be a thread here for it. Examples include face claims, screen name and email claims, and houses.

Oh, the plotting. Not too fancy, but places for you to gain ideas or share them with others. There is a board for plot charts, as colorful or plain as you would like. There is also a sub-board for plot discussion, so you can talk about your ideas for characters.

The sub-boards within this board serve a variety of purposes. One is for RPing out or just writing about an event in your character's past; and the second is for people who have open posts they would like replied to.

If your friend, family member, etc., is not at home, a mobile device is the best way to reach them.Phones come in all kinds of shapes, sizes, and colors, with different capabilities. Most of them have text messaging, and some take pictures. All of them can send and receive calls. Just punch in the number you want to reach, and away you go.

People do many things online & with electronic devices. Since its creation, the Internet has become more and more popular, providing different, faster, and more-effective ways of communicating. There are instant messengers, where people send short messages to each other instantly, emails, which having all but taken the place of snail mail, and blogs, where people keep in contact with friends and post information about themselves.

The art of pen-to-paper has not yet been lost. People still write notes and letters as well as emails and electronic memos; still write in the lock-and-key notebook-journals, and not just in their blog. They still scribble things on the walls of public restrooms. The list goes on and on. The point being, anything written- not typed- should go in here.

When an emergency happens, someone will be there to help. The Fire Station, Police Station, and Hospital are situated in the center of the city, ten minutes, tops, from any point in the city. Staff of all three buildings are ready to handle anything that comes their way.

What would a town be without places to eat during the day, and then places to get drunk at night? There are plenty of places around Bear Creek to do both of those things; several restaurants and cafe`s, depending on what kind of food you like, and there is also a decent variety of bars and clubs.

All work and no play is no fun at all. Balance work and play with some of Bear Creek's fun- and some also educational- activities. Visit a museum or aquarium, or take some dance lessons. Just have fun.

These are the abandoned places around town. There aren’t very many, but they’re left from the older days, when the town was just starting out. There is a train station, an abandoned building, and an old clinic, rumored to be haunted by dead mental patients. Visit them if you dare, but beware- nothing good happens in abandoned places after dark!

Some things can only be done at certain times of the year. For example, there won't be a county fair in the dead of winter. And, of course, there are those seasonal attractions, such as haunted houses and things like that for Halloween.

Anywhere else. If there is somewhere you want to RP that doesn’t have its own board, post here. But make sure you say where it is, so people don’t get confused. It can be in or out of town, somewhere more or less populated. It doesn’t even have to be in the same country. Anywhere, really.

This can be any apartment- big or small- anywhere in the city. They very greatly from one building to the other, with some being giant and others impossibly tiny. Some have one bedroom, others three, some have a balcony, others don’t. It all depends on what building you live in.

For those with more normal incomes, or that have not won the lottery or come across a large inheritance, there are the various communities. They are normal urban neighborhoods, with the typical homes; two or (sometimes) three floors, maybe a basement and attic as well, with small-to-medium-sized yards. They vary in color, but are all pretty close in size.

This small motel is “home” to both tourists who don’t want to stay at a resort, and locals who don’t want a house or regular apartment- or can't afford one. The rooms are either one or two beds, with bathrooms that have barely enough room to move, with a toilet, small shower/bathtub combo, and sink. It isn't the best place to live, especially if you don't live alone.

Need something? Can’t do it yourself? Look no further. If you have any requests at all, chances are there is a sub-board in here for it. There’s one for if you need a plot chart made and can’t quite code it yourself; one for character pics if you don’t have photoshop; and one for if there is a new board you think we should have. The “board” sub-board can also be used for other suggestions for things we should add to the forum.

New here? Come say hi, tell us who you are and get to know others. You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to, but we’d love to get to know our members. Also, if you’re leaving on vacation, have been grounded, or are outright quitting, post here so we don’t think you’ve dropped off the face of the Earth.

Admit it- RPGs aren't all about the characters. In the OOC area, there are plenty of things for the members to do while waiting for acceptance, or in-between RP posts. Come in here to request custom character pics, participate in a forum game or contest, or just chat with other members.

So nothing valuable accidentally gets deleted in the midst of deleting less important things, everything will simply be moved to archives if it is no longer needed. Things moved here include old character applications, posts that are finished or haven't been replied to in months, and old OOC discussions. If there is something in here that you need back, PM a staff member and they will retrieve it for you.
